I Think

As College students we should ask our self's Important questions?

Is text messaging getting in the way of other priorities?

Do you feel anxious when you are not connected to the Internet?

Is most of your day spent in front of a computer screen?

If you feel you need help with these issues you can contact Csun counseling officehttp://www.csun.edu/counseling/s to set and appointment.

Side Note

increasingly students life revolve around computer/cellphone use.

Media use has so much affects on students life that the future seems somewhat scary to me.

will schools like Csun become a thing a of the past?

Currently Csun offers many online courses which are becoming increasingly popular with working and lazy students.

Many aspects of life our being replaced with time spent on computers and with that we loose interactions with people.

we should shut off our browsers and enjoy a sunny or cloudy day with a friend.

I agree that people should spend more time outside with someone instead of texting or spending the day in front of a computer. Technology may make things easier, but it gets frutrating when something goes wrong and the Internet connectin is down. It happens to me occasionally. Spending time under an open sky is more relaxing and it is perfectly healthy. It is sad that some people depend completely on the computer to talk to others. Dan, I think this post will make a lot of students think about this and change thier online/cellphone habits. Thank you for getting the idea out.

The internet is a great source for information and research. However, it can also be dangerous. It can be a danger source for users because internet contains explicit sexual material that can cause people to become addicts. I would agree that if a student is only taking online college classes then he or she is missing out on the interaction with the class and professor. Not only does the internet provide material that can be addictive but it also has plagiarize websites that can be dangerous to students. For example, there is a website called "Plagiarism.com" This is an example of why the internet can be dangerous. The internet is a good source to use for information but it can also be abuse and misleading.
